Overblikk
2018
In September 2018 I was commissioned to make a 15 m2 floor painting for the main entrance of the culture house Tou Scene in Stavanger. The painting is made in acrylics directly on the concrete, and on pieces of linen canvas that were glued to the floor. The painting was then covered by a 3 mm layer of epoxy and finally 2 layers of matte varnish.
A portrait of Stavanger Natur- og Idrettsservice
2018
In 2017 I won the competition to make a public artwork for Stavanger Natur- og Idrettsservice, commissioned by the municipality of Stavanger. SNI is a company that maintains the parks, roads, pools and sports-facilities of Stavanger.
The art work consists of 17 hand painted portraits of people and places based on my own encounters in their everyday work situations. The paintings are made in oil on plywood, and are mounted in groups to form a sort of collage that fills the walls of the reception area and other locations within the headquarters of the company.

Paintings for Titania AS
2000-2010
Every summer in the years between 1998 and 2013, I worked as a maintanence worker in the iron-mine Titania AS, located in the town I grew up in. As a part of my job, I was asked to paint murals for the different workshops and sites, and over the years I produced close to 20 sitespecific painitings. Some of them are painted directly on the wall with industrial heavy duty oil paint, or with acrylics on falsework-boards that were later varnished and mounted on site. I also painted on aluminum and stainless steel. Dimensions vary, but the paintings are generally large in scale with the biggest one measuring 12 meters in length.
I wanted the paintings to be of relevance to the staff and interviewed the miners about what they would like to look at in their everyday settings. I asked them in groups and individualy, and tried to meet all their requests as I ensembled the content of the paintings. Here are selected images of artwork produced between 2006-2012.
