WORK
I am the director of Velferden Sokndals Scene for Samtidskunst, a show room and culture centre located in a 50´s ballroom in a closed down mining area in Southwestern Norway. At Velferden we produce and curate exhibitions, residencies, concerts and arrange dialogues related to the local mining history, geology, tourism and contemporary art.
Visit www.velferdenscene.com for more info.

March 2019: Framferd, a groupshow by Snøfrid Hunsbedt Eiene, Ananda Serné and Kirsty Kross.
Curated by Maiken Stene.

June 2017: Summer project at Velferden #2, 5 - 26 June.
4 Norwegian and Swedish artists were invited to Velferden to work with socially engaging projects that aimed to minimise the gap between the art world and the local inhabitants of Sokndal. The project was a cooperation with Rogaland Kunstsenter.

2016: Performance Festival at Velferden.
____ //// /O/O/O The mouth expresses thoughts. The landscape renders its tone!
10 artists from Denmark, Sweden and Lithuania visited Velferden for one week in August. The project was initiated by Kunsthal 44 at Møen in Denmark, curated by Nico Anklam, and sought to re-contextualise the work of Danish Fluxus artist Henning Christiansen. The project was a cooperation with Rogaland Kunstsenter.

2015: Summer project at Velferden #1, July 25th - August 6th.
10 Swedish and Norwegian artists spent 2,5 weeks at Velferden. On August the 5th the artists presented performances, installations, videos and workshops for approximately 150 visitors. The project was a cooperation with Rogaland Kunstsenter.

2014: I produced Glasmo 2014, an exchange project with 12 recently graduated artists from Malmø Art Academy and Glasgow School of Art. The project included an exhibition curated by Nico Anklam, and a series of workshops, presentations and walkthroughs of the exhibition Double You, set in two galleries in Malmø.

2013: I curated “The Construction and Fluctuation of the Artifice and the Real” with Søren Aagard, Bjarni Tor Petursson and myself. The exhibition also presented Paracit; an experimental theatre performance by Robert Bolin and me, where the fictional art collector Jonas Falke guided the audience through a re-contextualisation of the show.
