Copies on a Stroll
2016
The exhibition was shown at Gallery Thomas Wallner, Simris (SE) October 2016.
Copies on a Stroll consists of painted copies and fragments of a remembered mining area; a landscape that because of human interaction is in a constant state of transformation. I am interested in perspective and displacement, and try through the process of painting, to understand how all things can move and change in relation to my physical position in the landscape.
Copies of copies of a changing mining landscape form a new and independent experience of nature in the gallery.
